Members of the Trash Association took part on Mikser Festival in Belgrade (report by mister.no)

In late May, members of the Trash Association: Jurica Hizak, Robert Borovic and Branimir Hains took part as participants on the Mikser Festival in Belgrade. Participation at the Belgrade Festival, which combines design, art, communications, architecture, music, theater, ecology, lectures, exhibitions, workshops, film, installation … is another confirmation that the Trash Film Festival has long crossed the boundaries of Varazdin and Croatia and became unavoidable point when it comes to trash film festivals…

Members of the Trash Association presented the Trash Film Festival showing “the best of” from the past five editions of the Festival, and premiered in Belgrade shows blockbusters produced by Trash Association: Overpunishment and Sun Tzu.

Besides presentation Trash Film Festival, visit to Belgrade and Mikser Festival is used to connect the related ideas in these areas. Numerous contacts are achieved, also as numerous commendations for the Trash Film Festival as well as offers for future cooperation.

It also established a contact with similar festivals, such as: Eastern Neighbours Film Festival – Utrecht, Gay and Lesbian Film Festival – Ljubljana, Dokufest – Prizren, Starigrad Paklenica Film Festival.

Active participation in the Mikser Festival members of the Trash Association had in the debate on the subject Boys and toys, or why at this table do not sit any woman? Moderator was Dorian Kolundzija otherwise creative director of the Mixer Festival, and with other guests like Zach Liebermann (USA) and Daito Manobe (JAP) which discussed the impact of technology on art and its associated use and creativity in the process.

Also, accompanied by Serbian film director of the Festival Fiction Jovan Ristic organized a visit to the studio Miroslava Lakobrija, the best masters of film masks in this part of Europe, which was recently awarded for his work in the U.S. Texas.
