The deadline for submissions is May 15. If you submit your film by April 1st during the so-called “early bird period”, the submission is free of charge (no entry fee). This year?s film selection will be handled by Boris Prole and Benjamin Pintarec, and which films they have chosen for the festival screening we’ll find out not later than June 15th (notification date). After the selection, the best films will be handed over to our expert jury, which this year is chaired by the cult director Richard Stanley. The global public will discover the laureates of the best genre films at the most exciting film awards ceremony in the world – on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the 21st Golden Chainsaw Awards, held in the pearl of Varaždin’s architecture, the legendary Kino Gaj. Join the battle – maybe you will be the winner of the legendary Golden Chainsaw!

Rok za prijave je najkasnije do 15. svibnja. Ako film prijavite do 1.4. u tzv. earlybird razdoblju, prijava je besplatna (bez plaćanja kotizacije). Ovogodišnju selekciju filmova radit će prekaljeni filmofili Boris Prole i Benjamin Pintarec, a koje filmove su odabrali za prikazivanje na festivalu, doznat ćemo 15. lipnja (notification date). Nakon selekcije, najbolji filmovi idu u ruke našem stručnom žiriju kojim ove godine predsjeda kultni redatelj Richard Stanley. Tko su laureati najboljih žanrovskih filmova svjetska javnost saznat će na najuzbudljivijoj dodjeli filmskih nagrada na svijetu – u subotu 12. rujna 2026. na 21. dodjeli Zlatnih motorki, u biseru varaždinske arhitekture, u legendarnom kinu Gaj!
